Following on from previous research undertaken in CHIP studies from 2000-2004 and 2008-2010, in 2018 the charity plans to fund CHIPs third longitudinal intervention study following up with patients as they enter early adulthood.

CHIP (Congenital Heart Disease Intervention Project) longitudinal follow up of children from infancy to early adulthood.

The CHIP project team has an internationally recognised track record of undertaking research that helps to better understand physical, medical, psychological education and social outcomes and the implementation of early interventions that can benefit these outcomes, for children with congenital heart disease and their families.

Continuing our long-standing partnership with the CHIP team, Children’s Heartbeat Trust is delighted to be funding this important research, which is due to start in Summer 2018.
