In the latest episode, our Family & Youth Services Manager Cathy sits down with the newest member of the CHT Team, Jennifer Keys who is a heart mum to her son Alfie.
At her 20-week pregnancy scan, Jennifer was told that Alfie would be born with a heart condition. Within 24hrs of his birth, Jennifer, Nigel, Alex and Alfie travelled to Birmingham for his surgery.
Jennifer talks about her experience at Birmingham hospital and Alfie’s heart journey to date. She also talks about her involvement with Children’s Heartbeat Trust and how our support groups make a positive difference.
Alfie is now 13 years old and loves kayaking, travelling and is about to go on his first cruise this summer! ☀️
