Youth and Family Support Worker

We wish to appoint a Youth and Family Support Worker to develop and deliver support services for young people and families affected by congenital heart disease.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This post provides the opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and outgoing individual to make a significant difference to the young people and families the Children’s Heartbeat Trust support.  The individual will lead in the delivery of projects and services for young people with heart disease aged 11 – 18.

The role also includes developing Children’s Heartbeat Trust’s local family support groups and supporting local family support coordinators in the delivery of events and workshops across Northern Ireland.

You will have the opportunity to work on your own initiative but will be supported by a manager and enthusiastic volunteers to develop and deliver the youth and family support programmes.

We welcome dynamic and committed individuals to apply for this post and join the Children’s Heartbeat Trust team.

Essential Criteria includes

–       Third level qualification in relevant subject

–       Minimum of 2 years recent experience of working with young people in a support service setting

–       Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a car.
