#RockRedFriday Success

As part of Heart Week (8-14th February) we encouraged everyone to help raise awareness and funds for local children living with heart disease in Northern Ireland by ROCKING RED!

You did not disappoint and we had lots of Rocking Red fundraising events and lots of our heart families posting pics of themselves using the hashtag #RockRedFriday on our social media pages.  It was a brilliant day in helping raise awareness of what we do for local children and their families.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO GOT INVOLVED.   From the campaign we generated lots more funds for our services and had an additional 100 likes to our Facebook and Twitter pages – great for awareness!

If you didn’t get a chance to Rock Red, you still can by holding a Rock Red fundraiser when suits you, your school, work place or organisation etc.

There are lots of  ideas which you can do to add to you Rock Red Event:

Wear Something Red: socks, tie, hairband, shoes etc

Red Fancy Dress: Spiderman, Power Ranger, Little Red Riding Hood…

Red Lunch Day: Bring something Red in your lunchbox

Red Baton Relay: Organise a Red Run around your school/playgroup grounds

Red Velvet Cup Cake Sale: Get colleagues, staff or friends to bake some yummy buns

All fundraising from Rock Red is greatly appreciated and will help us to make a difference to local children and young people living with heart disease in Northern Ireland.
