She also would like to thank the Tuesday Club lades, Aura wellbeing and beauty, Tammy Hairdressing, Memory Candles and Lisa Duffy at Envy Hairdressing, with a special thanks to Maire Ni Dhochartaigh (Principal), staff, pupils and parents of Gaelscoil Ui Dhochartaigh for their involvement & support.

strong>Frankie John McQue Memorial Football Match; 12 Nov at 12 noon; St Columb’s Park, Derry
Frankie McQue was born on the 23rd of October 2009 and sadly passed away on the 16th of November 2009 having bravely fought a congenital heart condition. Leanne and Paul McQue are ever grateful for the Children’s Heartbeat Trust for their wonderful support during our stay in hospital with our son and this game and day is in honour of Frankie and all of those who cared for him. We are incredibly proud of our son and he is with us each day in spirit.
Paul McQue, Frankie’s father is holding this years annual memorial charity match with the help of friends, family and local businesses in Derry and all donations will go to the charity. Last years game raised over £500 and this year we hope to double that amount. The game itself is taken quite seriously and there are a few frustrated superstars in and amongst the line ups. We look forward to a good match this year played in the full spirit that it is meant. Leanne and I wish to particularly thank Declan and Shane the team managers and all the players for giving this day the energy that it so deserves.
Look forward to next Saturday!

Quids For Kids Day nets £22,500 for Children’s MRI Scanner Appeal
October 28th, 2011
SuperScanMan rings through the £22,500 for the Children's MRI Scanner Appeal at the Quids for Kids Fundraising Day in partnership with Tesco's. (L-R) Sarah Quinlan from the Children's Heartbeat Truat, U105 Broadcaster and Sports Journalist Ivan Martin and Newtownbreda Tesco Community Champion Esther Bloch and Tesco NI Marketing Manager Caoimhe Mannion, .
Once more the generosity of local people shone through as Quids For Kids Day has raised £22,500.00 for the Children’s MRI Scanner Appeal.
Thousands of people donated in Tesco stores and local Post Offices to help the on-going move towards the £2M target.
On the day Citybeat and Q Radio Group broadcast from eight Tesco outlets Province-wide while Superscan Man, the official mascot of the appeal, visited seven others.
The Alpha Group and many other local newspapers supported Quids For Kids Day and highlighted that Northern Ireland is the only one of the twelve UK regions without an MRI Scanner for children.
Their support throughout the six counties demonstrated that a scanner for the Children’s Hospital in Belfast, the regional centre for this area, is a right for every child in this country.
On the day 250 volunteers were on the ground while many others toiled away in the background to allow this magnificent total of £22,500 to be raised.
Their day is done and they have every right to feel proud of their efforts but the fundraising for the Children’s MRI Scanner goes on.
So give now by texting ‘Scan 6′ to 70003 to donate £3 to the appeal or donate through the appeal website:- www.mriscannerappeal.org
