Toddlers Toddle for Children’s Heartbeat Trust

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

On Saturday 26th June toddlers from all around Lisburn went for a walk around Christ Church, to raise funds for the Children’s Heartbeat Trust. Organised by the McFarlane family, the toddle was really well supported with lots of children who have been treated in Clark Clinic coming along to join in the fun. The McFarlane’s little boy, Ross, received successful treatment for a serious heart condition earlier this year, and although is too young to toddle yet apparently had a wonderful day watching all the other kids!

On behalf of the Children's Heartbeat Trust, Katie Rennick (Paediatric Cardiac Liaison Nurse, Clark Clinic) accepts the fundraising cheque from little Ross McFarlane and his mum, Sarah McFarlane.

Everyone had a great day out!

(L-R) Michelle Meehan, Deirdre Meehan, Alan Beggs, Gary Morton, Karen Morton, Kenneth Beggs, Paul Hardy and Jeff Russell present Sarah Quinlan with the funds raised at Larne Tech Old Boys Club's 'Night at the Races'

The Larne Tech Old Boys Club held a wonderful ‘Night at the Races’ to raise funds for the Children’s Heartbeat Trust.

Paul Meehan was 18 when he died seven years ago, and was a much loved regular in the club as is illustrated in their continued support for the charity and Paul’s family.

Apparently the night itself was great craic and a big thank-you must go to Gary and Karen Morton for pulling it all together.
